HOW TO ADD SUBTITLES TO A MOVIE OR VIDEO ON VLC

1.DOWNLOAD THE SUBTITLE FILE 

*There are many websites that will let you download subtitle files of movies, TV shows and music videos. 
* Most of them are completely free to use and offer subtitles in different languages. Some of the popular websites are mentioned below.

1. subscene(.)com
2. opensubtitles(.)org
3. moviesubtitles(.)org

Go to one of these websites and search for the movie/TV show of which you would like to download subtitles. Once found, tap on download to download it on your device.

Now that you have the subtitle file (most probably with .srt extension), it is time to add it to your video in VLC player.

Important : suppose  the name of the video file (movie1) and subtitle file (movie1.srt) is same (both file must be in same folder) it automatically add the subtitle otherwise "we need to add the subtitle each time while playing video" follow the below steps to add subtitle.

2.ADD SUBTITLE TO A MOVIE

 a)Play your movie/video on VLC media player.

b)click the video button on the menubar.

c)Select the 'subtitles track' option and select the 'open file' button. (a dialog box appears.)

In mobile

d)Select your subtitle file of that particular movie/video.

e)click the open button

f)Watch your movie/video with subtitles. Enjoy!
